What is a 4-arm turnstile?
A 4-arm turnstile is a waist-high rotating barrier with four arms (instead of the standard three), providing an additional level of security and a more complete barrier at each rotation. The 90° rotation between arms means the passage is always partially blocked, making it harder to tailgate.
How does the 4-arm turnstile differ from the 3-arm (1100 Series)?
The 4-arm turnstile provides a more complete barrier at each position due to the additional arm. This makes it slightly more secure against tailgating attempts. Both models share the same hardened steel components, 24V operating system, and finish options.
Is the 4-arm turnstile available in electric and mechanical versions?
Yes. Like the 1100 Series, the 4-arm turnstile is available in both electric (access control integrated) and mechanical (coin/token or manual) versions.
What finish options are available?
The 4-arm turnstile is available in a powder-coated cabinet with a stainless steel lid, or in a full stainless steel configuration. Powder-coated options are available in a range of RAL colours.
Can the 4-arm turnstile be used outdoors?
The 4-arm turnstile is primarily designed for indoor use. For outdoor applications, we recommend the full-height turnstile range, which is rated for outdoor environments and Canadian climate extremes.
