Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 3-Arm Turnstile 1100 Series?
The 1100 Series is Turnstile Security's workhorse waist-high tripod turnstile. Available in both electric and mechanical versions, it features hardened steel locking components, a 24V operating system, and a small footprint that allows multiple lanes to be installed side by side.
What is the difference between the electric and mechanical versions?
The electric version connects to your access control system and can be remotely activated or locked. The mechanical version operates purely on a coin/token or manual push mechanism and requires no electrical connection, making it ideal for locations without access control infrastructure.
What finish options are available?
The 1100 Series is available in a powder-coated cabinet with a stainless steel lid, or in a full stainless steel configuration. The powder-coated option is available in a range of RAL colours to match your facility's aesthetic.
Can the 1100 Series be used outdoors?
The 1100 Series is primarily designed for indoor use. For outdoor applications, we recommend the full-height turnstile range, which is rated for outdoor environments and Canadian climate extremes.
Does the 1100 Series integrate with access control systems?
Yes, the electric version is compatible with standard access control signal inputs. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific system.
